Training Description
This one-day RC recertification training is required every 2 years for RC Associate Trainers to maintain their training credential. Trainers who took the RC Train-the-Trainer in April 2009 or October 2011 are due for recertification.
This training offers an intensive learning and practice experience aimed at: providing updated information and materials related to teaching RC; offering the opportunity to practice teach sections of the RC training and receive detailed feedback from peers; expanding and deepening learning about RC concepts; and addressing and transforming our vicarious trauma and that of the staff with whom we work.
Trainers will be asked to prepare in advance a part of the RC training. They will teach this segment to peers and RC Faculty Trainers during the recertification training. When we receive your registration, we will send you the instructions for the teaching practice.
